For $100 million, would you travel back in time 50 years and live out your life?

Wouldn’t feel comfortable doing this. Lots of money offered, but no money is worth this price. I feel I’m meant to live in the time period I’m in.
It would only work if it was 1950s money. I’d be the richest person on earth in 1950 with $100 million.
Sarah, I assure you that you can bring all $100 million with you, and it will be 1950s money.
I would actually say YES and NO. Going back in time would mean I’d still have my mom and No because I wouldn’t want to go through my teen years again. Once was enough.
The riches are tempting, but I wouldn’t do it. I mean, I wouldn’t even be able to blog about my journey.
Billions of people lived 50 years ago and were no less happy for it.
I’m curious how exactly you plan to allow people to attempt this challenge, though. You must know something about cutting edge quantum science that I don’t. Though, having 11 billion dollars more than me, I guess that’s believable.
After reading the confirmation that it would be 1950s money (although I think 1960s money makes more sense; 2011 – 50 = 1961), I’d go for this. I’d be in my 70s when I get back to the current time, but with that kind of money I could take really good care of my health.
Also, I would use my knowledge of the present to accelerate technological development, so it would only take 30-40 years to catch up to today’s tech world, or something even better. My pet project would be making sure Unix wins the OS wars, buying it, and opening it’s source before Bill Gates has a chance with MS-DOS.
Finally, I wouldn’t be limited to just the $100 million. With my knowledge today, I’d have a unique opportunity to make near-certain investments, quickly ballooning my wealth to more than today’s billionaires have, but in 1960s money.
Man, I’d do this for free! Just think of how much cool stuff you’d do with exact knowledge about how the next 50 years would go!
